Join us for an insightful and engaging day focused on sustainable farming and water quality, as part of the Dairygold Blackwater Catchment Programme and EIP (European Innovation Partnership) Project. The event will showcase innovative on-farm water protection measures, farmer-led sustainability efforts, and co-operative initiatives driving environmental improvements.
The day begins at the Firgrove Hotel in Mitchelstown with tea and coffee, followed by a visit to Liam Roche’s farm to view practical EIP water protection installations and hear from Dairygold representatives. After lunch back at the hotel, we’ll travel to John and Brendan Walsh’s award-winning Signpost farm in Ballylooby, Cahir, to learn more about their sustainable practices and achievements.
This event offers a unique opportunity to see real-world examples of sustainability in action and connect with farmers, advisors, and stakeholders committed to protecting water quality and improving environmental outcomes in agriculture.
While the event will be free of charge to all members, we request that attendees pre-book their place at the event on Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/fai-2025-summer-field-trip-tickets-1430534861279?aff=oddtdtcreator
